Tacos El Yaqui - Rosarita Mexico
It's our last day and our last meal before we go to the airport to fly home. We can't drive past Rosarita without going to tacos El Yaqui. These guys are legends. They basically make beef tacos. But these guys are literally the best in the business. We circle the block looking for a parking spot. The place is hopping. There are a couple of teenagers playing some music for tips. The line is long. And people are eating everywhere. As we get closer to the counter we can observe the two cooks making taco after taco. One cook grabs out slabs of braised beef from a pot and puts them on a cross-cut tree trunk cutting board. In one hand his are tongs picking up the slab of beef and in the other, he has a cleaver chopping away. The other cook is warming each corn tortilla. From there they both make tacos nonstop. The menu is in Spanish and we tried to order a couple of different beef tacos. However, every taco looked the same and tasted amazing. They have a little station set up with hot sauce and radishes. I guess you eat a radish in between your tacos. After eating all of our tacos we decided on round two. That wasn't planned LOL. But we figured while we're here why not grab a few more. Tacos El Yaqui is about 45 minutes north of Ensenada in Rosarita. Rosarita has the best beaches in this part of Mexico. Unfortunately, we weren't there long enough to explore them.
