Bruma has the best of both world's. They are known to produce amazing wine and have the all of Mexico's best food. Fauna Restaurant is located on the vineyard just steps away from the tasting room.
Bruma is named after the winds that grace the valley from the Pacific Ocean. The "Bruma" comes up the valley and has a cooling effect that is need in this region to produce wine.
The property and vineyard was established just after 2010. They are still adding buildings to the property as they keep growing.
There are many spectacular attributes to the property, but the 400 year old oak tree that comes up from the tasting room to the roof with a water top is stunning. If you are lucky enough to find availability you can actually stay overnight on the property.

THE STORY
Eight partners (“Ocho”) launched Bruma with the intention of establishing the premier wine brand in Mexico. It’s fair to say that they dared to envision a project beyond the scope of the general perceptions that existed at the time they broke ground.
In addition to the winery (Bruma), they created the finest lodging (Las Villas & Ocho Casitas) while also operating one of Valle de Guadalupe’s top dining destinations (Fauna). To insure long term success they recently named all-star winemaker, Lulu Martinez Ojeda and superstar chef, David Hussong as partner in Bruma and Fauna respectively.
THE PLACE
The property is located in the Northern most end of Valle de Guadalupe. Approximately 40% of Bruma’s total production comes from estate-grown fruit. The remaining fruit is sourced from Lulu’s uncle who is a legendary grape grower in Valle de San Vicente.
THE WINEMAKER
Lourdes “Lulu” Martinez Ojeda, formerly of Bodegas Henri Lurton, is the winemaker/partner at Bruma. Lulu learned her craft working at Chateau Brane-Cantenac in Margaux for 10+ years.
THE PHILOSOPHY
Craft wines designed to compliment cuisine. Minimal intervention, small production wines that showcase a true sense of Baja terroir are the hallmarks of the winery.
OWNER: Eight Friends ("Ocho Amigos")
WINEMAKER: Lourdes Martinez Ojeda
CASE PRODUCTION: 10,000 cases
